Highlights of the Express Entry Draw 269
Date of Draw: October 24, 2023
Number of Invitations Issued: 1,548
Minimum CRS: 776
Program Specified: Provincial Nominee Program
This draw marked the fifth Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw this year. A PNP nomination adds 600 points to the applicant’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
Each Canadian province and territory, excluding Quebec and Nunavut, runs its unique PNP program, featuring over 80 distinct provincial nominee programs.
In Express Entry draw 269, 1,548 Invitations to Apply (ITA) were issued to PNP candidates with a minimum CRS of 776. To be eligible for today’s draw, applicants needed a prior PNP nomination.
The last PNP category draw was #248 on May 10, 2023, which granted 589 ITAs to PNP candidates with a minimum CRS of 691.
This year, Express Entry draws have followed an unusual pattern. Previously, draws occurred bi-weekly on Wednesday afternoons, but now, they alternate between all-program draws and program-specific draws. This makes predicting the next draw’s timing and type more challenging, but patterns may emerge as draws continue.
Number of Candidates in the Current Express Entry Pool
The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) regularly updates the number of candidates in the Express Entry pool shortly before each invitation round. These figures fluctuate due to the submission of new profiles, the expiration of existing profiles, and the issuance of Invitations to Apply (ITA).
As of today, here’s the current status of the Express Entry pool.
